I have waited for a movie about them for quite some time. There have been brickfilms and Lego super hero movies, but this is the first proper Lego movie. Many of us grew up playing with Legos (and some of us still do), so it’s about time they made a movie about time they made a movie about our favorite brick-building toy!
Real Acton Heroes is a doll manufacture of popular shows from Star Wars to Legend of Zelda (LInk) but don’t get these mixed up with the dolls hanging in your grandmas house. This Saber comes from Fate/Zero that came with a bonus summoning circle for first release buyers. What drove me to like this Saber she comes with more than one face pallet, which isn’t very common for Real Action Heroes.
The Real Action Heroes dolls are more like big action figures since they have ball joints and double jointed elbows that allow them for more of an array of poses. What makes these dolls different is under the skin is a frame or the skeleton for the back, shoulders, hips and head to move more freely. (Read more…)
Another year has past and left good memories, so many in fact that it was hard to choose my top 5 anime’s of 2013 so I’m doing something a bit different. I’m choosing my top 5 anime’s I liked and the top 5 best mentions of 2013. But my favorite memory of 2013 was when I did the Sumo Ramen Challenge (photo above).
Number 5) Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko
What’s better than throwing Hentai everywhere but a show that’s not about Hentai. With the colorful cast and a very funny story Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko places 5th in my top 5 mainly because it was so out there that it left me smiling and laughing at the antics of a perverted kid and the stony cat statue. Disgaea released back in 2003 on the Playstation 2 and was of many tactical role-playing games (TRPG) out at the time. However, that did now stop Disgaea from reshaping the world of TRPG’s. After 10 long years the sequel Disgaea D2 has finally arrived. Be prepared to lose lots of sleep exploring and discovering a whole new story in Disgaea D2.
At the end of Disgaea we saw Laharl finally become the Overlord, he learns that not many demons are willing to recognize his position or authority. Laharl decides to go on another journey to demonstrate his power as the new Overlord with a few familiar faces. Joining him is a girl who claims to be his sister, a wacky angel who’s hell bent on the idea on love and of course wave after wave of demons trying to take the throne. Laharl just might just have his work cut out for him.
This year KT and I did two separate conventions so I wasn’t able to do interviews but I took a lot of photos. This year’s Anime Expo was the biggest attendance yet with, yes you guessed it, “Over 9000” anime, manga, game fans and cosplayers gathered together to show off their skilled costume or meet old and new friends. Also this year AX got a few bands and artist to perform at the convention. There was the Visual Kei concert that featured 3 bands/artist, Cell, Moon Stream and Kaya. Also performing was Porno Graffitti which is known for some Anime openings like one of the Fullmetal Alchemist and Magi opening. Before I start this review of Pacific Rim let me give you a few disclaimers. First one, I love giant robots. Always have and always will love them! Disclaimer number two, Giant robots are awesome. Finally disclaimer number three, I love giant robots.
What do you do when aliens attack Earth from an undersea portal? You build giant robot to fight them of course. That is pretty much the storyline for Pacific Rim. Let’s be honest with each other, this is not the most ridiculous story line you have heard (it’s not some kid running around trying to get the girl with the help of giant robots from outer space after all). I won’t go too deep into the story, it’s a nice device to keep the movie moving but it’s not going to get any awards. The aliens that are attacking Earth are called Kaiju, the Japanese word for strange creature or monster. To fight the Kaiju, humans come together and build giant robot suits called Jaegers. Initially the battle with the Kaiju seems to favor the humans but the Kaiju are relentless and the human race is on the brink of destruction. All that is left now is a handful of Jaegers and humans are now building walls as a last ditch attempt protect themselves from the Kaiju. (Read more…)
What’s the worst thing that can happen at your wedding? Just to add a plot twist, your soon to be wife has two souls living inside one body. Who will you choose after finding the culprit and unraveling the mysteries in Time and Eternity.
Once again Nis America brings us another RPG and like the rest you have the love story, the conflict and the fighting to win against the baddies but unlike other RPGs it’s brought to you in a whole new way. This game I’m torn from being pleased and not pleased and I’m going to give both reasons as I go through the game details, but I will say that it was just fun to play through this game and gave a refreshing take on the RPG genre that it really needed.
Here’s the third release of the Black Rock Shooter TV Figma line, Black Gold Saw. As you’ve noticed this review is very late from her release last month due to that I received a defective unit. The joint from her top half and torso was loose and wouldn’t stay together as a result would fall off after a period of time. Normally you could use a Elmers Glue fix by applying some glue into the joint hole then putting the plug in, let sit for about a day and it would tighten the joint. But in this case it wasn’t something that glue would fix so I contacted Ami Ami where I bought her to see if I might get a replacement (Read more…)
