About two years ago an Indiegogo project came up that Anime fans could get behind. That combine Cat Ears (Nekomimi) with working speakers in them, headphones with LED lights to create the Cat Ear Headphones. The crowdfunding project was asking for around $250.000 but far exceeded their goal, ending with just over $7 million and even more pre-orders. The small company known as Axent Wear had a huge hurdle to cross 20,000+ of people backed their Cat Ear Headphones, finding a place to manufacture them all. Over the course of two years most of the backers were thinking that the company wasn’t following through with their promises till an announcement in late 2014: they had partnered with Brookstone to manufacture their headphones and will be shipping in the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2015. The Axent Cat Ear Headphones were released to the backers on Nov 30th and now can be found at all Brookstone locations for $149.99. It comes in 4 colors, Red, Green, Blue and Purple.
What do I get for my $150.00? (Read more…)

Once again Nis America brings us another RPG and like the rest you have the love story, the conflict and the fighting to win against the baddies but unlike other RPGs it’s brought to you in a whole new way. This game I’m torn from being pleased and not pleased and I’m going to give both reasons as I go through the game details, but I will say that it was just fun to play through this game and gave a refreshing take on the RPG genre that it really needed.
Opening Song, No Scared by One Ok Rock
My Thoughts
I’ve been a Black Rock Shooter fan for a while. When I first heard about this game I went all nerd gamer syndrome and pre-ordered the Japanese release instantly. I’d like to give a shout out to NIS America, the publisher for North America and Europe, for letting me review this game. Here we have Black Rock Shooter the Game… but unlike it’s original release you can find this version on the PSN for $19.99. I did a review on the Japanese version of this game about a year ago with the White Rock Shooter Figma. So far the only real difference I see between the two versions is the English translation, other than that it’s a complete port from the Japanese version with the opening theme song by One Ok Rock.

Phantom Breaker Battlegrounds is a spin off of the arcade fighting game Phantom Breaker but the real difference is that Battlegrounds is a hack and slash semi RPG 2D side scroll game. Just for 800 Microsoft Points (just around $10 USD) and about 1.56 GBs later you can hop online and battle other players, Co/op with other players or friends or local play with 4 of your friends. With a leader board menu you can see where you rank among other players and friends. And if you need more info you can check out 5bp’s website at (Read more…)
